'Distortion' is centered around the basis of creating physically manipulated portraits through the use of props and lighting. This physical manipulation is used as a method of expressing the range of complex emotions we can feel as humans; turmoil to joy and everything in between. These physical manipulations also serve to show how we may wear torturous masks for those around us, attempting to warp their perception; when in reality what we need is to strip it all back, and show our true selves to the world.
